The Niti aayog yesterday launch Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana & Digi Dhan Vyapari Scheme for Encouraging Digital Payments people will get cash 1 crore prizes on April 14, 2017 on UPI Payment Scheme. Pitching for digital transactions, government think tank NITI Aayog has introduced lucky draw schemes which would win consumers rewards on cashless purchases. The NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said we will provide every week lucky draw system to a chance of winning cash prizes.

This scheme is designed to promote digital payments among the lower middle and poor class. Hence, there is upper limit for the transactions Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana & Digi Dhan Vyapari Scheme. The digital and card payments of more than Rs 3000 would not be eligible for lucky draw. There is a minimum limit of Rs 50. Every transaction between this limit would be eligible for lucky draw. The more you use the digital payments, more would be chance to get a prize.

To be eligible for this scheme, you should limit your transaction to Rs 3000 Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana & Digi Dhan Vyapari Scheme. If your bill is exceeding, you should split it. It would be recalled that towards this end Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana & Digi Dhan Vyapari Scheme, the Government had launched a major drive for financial inclusion in terms of opening Jan Dhan accounts, giving a statutory basis for Aadhar, implementation of Directs Benefits Transfer, introduction of RuPay Cards and Voluntary Disclosure Scheme for unaccounted money.
a) Lucky Grahak Yojana [Consumers]:
- Daily reward of Rs 1000 to be given to 15,000 lucky Consumers for a period of 100 days;
- Weekly prizes worth Rs 1 lakh, Rs 10,000 and Rs. 5000 for Consumers who use the alternate modes of digital Payments
This will include all forms of transactions viz. UPI, USSD, AEPS and RuPay Cards but will for the time being exclude transactions through Private Credit Cards and Digital Wallets.
b) Digi–धन Vyapar Yojana[ Merchants]:
- Prizes for Merchants for all digital transactions conducted at Merchant establishments
- Weekly prizes worth Rs. 50,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs. 2,500
c) Mega Draw on 14th of April – Ambedkar Jayanti
- 3 Mega Prizes for consumers worth Rs 1 cr, 50 lakh, 25 lakh for digital transactions between 8th November, 2016 to 13thApril, 2017 to be announced on 14th April, 2017
- 3 Mega Prizes for merchants worth Rs 50 lakhs, 25 lakh, 12 lakh for digital transactions between 8th November, 2016 to 13th April, 2017 to be announced on 14th
Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana 2017
Demonetization of 500 and 1000 Rs. notes was another important milestone in this endeavour. Following demonetization Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana & Digi Dhan Vyapari Scheme, there has been a spurt in the digital payments across the country and both the volume and amount of money transacted through digital methods has seen manifold increase since November 9th. To promote the cashless digital payment government is giving you the rewards.
Niti Aayog Digi Dhan Scheme 2016-17
The prize money goes upto Rs 1 Crore. Daily 15,000 people would get prize. The prize winner would be decided on the basis of lucky draw Niti Aayog Lucky Grahak Yojana & Digi Dhan Vyapari Scheme. As far as I know this is the first time that government is going for lucky draw to promote its initiative. However, It is a welcome step. Government of India has initiated numerous steps to combat the scourge of Corruption and Black Money in the last two and a half years.
